Julie, Stacey and Lexi

I love sketch challenges and when I saw this sketch at Let's Scrap, I new that it would be perfect for the pictures that I took of Lexi, my friend Julie and her daughter Stacey. Julie and I met in Lamaze Class 28 years ago. I was pregnant with Jennifer, Lexi's mother, and Julie with Katie. A couple of years later we were pregnant again. I had a boy and she had another girl, Stacey. Our kids used to play with each other when they were small and Julie and I were inseperable. As the kids grew up, we lost touch with each other. We reunited on Facebook after 10+ years and have picked up where we left off. Julie and Stacey have fallen for Lexi and she loves them too. The paper used is Sugar Rush from Basic Grey

She is moving on to Kindergarten

My little sweetie graduated from Kinderlinks today. It is a Pre-K program. I am so sad to see her leave this school. It has been such a wonderful experience for her. She has made so many
nice friends. And, I too have made some nice friends from it. The teachers, staff and parents are so wonderful. We are so blessed to have had her in such a nurturing environment.

Go Graduate!!!

It's graduation time and I am late in getting my cards out. I ordered this adorable stamp set from my SU friend, Debbie. When I saw it in the catalog, I knew it would be perfect. It's called "Go Graduate." I used my CTMH paper "Game On." When I first saw this paper in the catalog, I wasn't too crazy about it, but I am finding lots of uses for it. Last night, I went to the Splitcoast Stampers Gallery in search of cards using this set. I saw the card, below and loved the design. So I cased it.

CTMH Card Workshop

Today, Was a nice quiet day and I had a chance to play with some of my new stamps. The first card uses the stamp set "Hot Diggity" with "Splendor" paper. The second uses "Over the Rainbow" with "Splendor paper." And, the third uses the "Passages Workshop on the Go." I have a card workshop next Sunday. We will be making 5 cards, but I can't I can't finish the next two until my stamps come in on Monday. Can't wait.

Art & Wind Festival

Here is another layout of Lexi at the Art & Wind festival. I used the same Sugar Rush paper pack from Basic Grey.

A Perfect Day

Last weekend Bill and I took Lexi to the Art and Wind Festival with our good friends Julie and her daughter Stacey. Here are some of the pictures that I took. I have many more to scrap. I took a Basic Grey class a few months ago at the Scrapbook Expo and this was one of the layouts that I assembled. It worked so perfect with Lexi's pictures. I had to get a picture of her cute little shoes called "Twinkle Toes". The paper is called "Sugar Rush".

Love Birds

I had so much fun taking these pictures of Ryan and his girlfriend, Katie. She calls me a stalker for sneaking up on them. lol. But, look at the great photos. I used rub-ons for the love birds and the paper is Veranda.

Celebrate Today

I love this photo of Lexi and wanted to make a special layout. I was inspired by the layout in the back of the Summer Catalog showcasing the August Stamp of the Month. The paper used is Veranda.

Another Mother's Day Layout

I started this layout Friday Evening at Jazzy Crafts and just added the finishing touches. The strips of paper read "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, My baby you'll be". I just love this poem and found it perfect for this layout.

Carmel Shops and Cottages

I had a peaceful afternoon scrapbooking my Mother's Day pictures of Carmel. I made this layout using the 5/26/10 Let's Scrap Sketch. The nice thing about this sketch is that it holds a lot of pictures and I was able to capture the feel of walking around downtown Carmel.
I love the top photo of my son and his girlfriend, Katie. She is looking adoringly at him. To give it a whimsical feel, I attached a little arrow pointing at him.
I, also, put a little arrow pointing at the brownie that Bill is looking at. Talk about looking "adoringly" lol. Window shopping in Carmel is one of my favorite things to do. Along with that, is looking at the charming cottage type homes. There are no addresses in Carmel. All the homes have names to identify them.

I used CTMH Veranda paper pack and the stamp set from the Veranda workshop on the go for the flowering vines and birds. The title was cut with Cricut Cartridge - Ashlyns Alphabet.

A Tweet

Well, I decided to change the paper up for last summer's vacation. It's hard using the same paper. I get bored and lose motivation. For this layout, I used the "Emporium" paper pack and the stamp set "A tweet". I love anything with birds on it and when I saw this stamp set, I had to have it. For the journaling block, I used "Postcard-Travel Series".

Hello Friend

I couldn't wait to get home from work today and play with my new stamps. I was so good, though, and went to the gym first. I had fun playing with this new stamp from CTMH called "Hot Diggity". This set has so many cute images on it. I want to try the frog next and then that cute little snail. The paper that I used is our new "Splendor" paper pack. The colors in this pack are Goldrush, Topiary and Moonstruck and Heavenly Blue. For the cute little bird, I stamped him twice in Goldrush ink. Then I cut the body out of one of the images and attached it with a pop dot to the other. I did this to give some dimension to him. For my sketch I used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch #140

Extreme Happiness

I hope you aren't getting tired of seeing "Moon Doggie". This paper is so perfect for Hawaii. For this layout, I used the stamp sets "Extreme Happiness" and "Surfs Up".

Beary Busy

This is the card that I made for my dad for my dad's birthday Day. He has an old truck and when I saw this set, it reminded me of him. At one time, it used to be red like this. I love these little bears. They are so cute. I used paper from the Cherrie-O paper pack to make my card. I colored my image with Copic Markers and used silver colored brads in the wheels.

Hula Girls

I am trying to finish scrapbooking last summers vacation pictures. This layout is of Lexi following along with the Polynisian Dancers. She was so cute. The paper that I used is called Moon Doggie from CTMH.

I just got this stamp set in the mail. I love it and am going to use it for my journaling on my Kaui layouts. I had fun making little postcards. I stamped the card in Bamboo ink. After I cut it out, I sponged the edges inthe same ink.To make my flowers, I sponged the big flower in Creme Brulee ink and then rolled the edges in Hollyhock ink.
