A Valentine Layout

I was inspired by this layout in the February issue of Creating Keepsakes and couldn't wait to scrapbook my Valentine photo using it.

The supplies used from CTMH are: Textured White Daisy Cardstock, Tulip cardstock, Silhouette Paper Pack, Just Blooms Spring Blossoms, Heart Dimensional Elements, Sparkles, "February Word Puzzle(Retired)", and Tulip Ink. To create this layout I cut a piece of White Daisy Textured cardstock in half. Then I punched a heart shape on one of the halves using a "Nestabilities" die cut. I attached this piece to the "Tulip" colored cardstock with foam squares and filled it with blossoms and buttons. For the black flowers underneath, I punched out a piece of "Silhouette" paper with a flower shaped punch. The Dimensional Element hearts are sponged with Tulip ink. The stamped image around the heart is from the February Word Puzzle. The nice thing about acrylix stamps is that they bend easily. I took a straight piece and bent it into a half circle.

You must remember this...

Who remembers what famous movie this sentiment comes from? It 's my sweeties favorite movie, so when I saw this set from Stampingbella, I had to have it. Have a sweet Valentine's Day.

I can Ski!!!

Last week we took Lexi skiing and put her in ski school. She did so well and was so proud of herself for learning to ski. She had such a great attitude and we were proud of her too.
The paper used is Topstitch from Close to My Heart. The Soft Suede Pinwheels, buttons and ribbon are also from CTMH. The skis and title were cut using the Winter Woodland and Ashlyns Alphabet Cricut Cartridges.

Start the day with whee!

I just couldn't resist!!! I finished cutting my paper for the workshop and packed my ski clothes, and made time to break in one of my new stamps. Isn't it amazing how quickly you can get things done, when something fun is waiting for you? This is "Start the day with whee!" from My Favorite Things.

Brown paper packages tied up with string.....

Look at what I came home to today. Don't you just love happy mail? These are my new stamps from "My Favorite Things" called "Pure innocence." Aren't they just adorable? I couldn't decide which one to get, so I got all the ones I liked. Now to figure out which one to play with first. As much as I'd like to be stamping, I need to be cutting paper for my workshop this coming Saturday. We are leaving mid-week to got skiing and won't be home until Friday evening. We are going to put Lexi in ski lessons. I told her that she was going to take lessons and she replied that she already knew how to ski. I asked her how she knew and she replied that she watched it on tv. Oh well. We will see.
