Happy Halloween Everyone. Hope you are ready for a "sweet" night. Here is our little Tinkerbell with Jesse.

The paper is CTMH "Enchanted". The felt flowers are from my Bella Sister Leah.

Abundance Layout with Autumn's Gift

On Friday night, I got together with a friend at the scrapbook store and was able to get some scrapbooking done. I had so much fun coloring the stamped images. I colored with my Prisma Colored Pencils and then went over the images with Odorless Turpenoid. I used a Level 1 Abundance Paper Kit for the Layout. The stamp set is "Autumn's Gifts"

A Day at the Beach

I love the beach no matter what the weather is and today was a surprisingly beautiful day. I know that it couldn't have been warmer than the 70's but it sure felt like it was in the 80's. Northern California is known to have the best beach weather in the Fall. Sometimes in the summer it can be quite chilly. Today Bill and I took a ride to Moss Beach and had a picnic on the beach. The beach that we went to had a Nature Preserve. In the picture below, you can see people walking on the rocks, looking at the Tidal Pools. Here is a picture of a Sea Anemone and some Hermit Crabs.
And, here are a couple of cute Harbor Seals.

It's hard to see in this picture, but there are a bunch of Harbor Seals on the rock in front of the waves.

On the way home we stopped by the Pumpkin Patch in Half Moon Bay and picked out a couple of pumpkins. Here is Bill holding one of our pumpkins. We, also, bought a rather large pumpkin. But, it was much to heavy to carry.

And, here is me in Bill sitting on the hay.

Happy Friday!!!

Happy Friday Everyone. Hope you are having a wonderful day. On Friday's I go into work at 8:00 and get off at 12:00. So, every Friday is a celebration for me. This morning I got up at 5:30 because I wanted so badly to do one of the Bella Challenges. This card uses Spooky Stella. I used Jamie's sketch and Sparkle's color challenge for this card. The paper is CTMH. The felt flowers and pumpkin are from my Bella Sister Leah. I used the Gamasol Magic trick for coloring. It's very easy and fun. I colored around the edges of each image with my Prima Colored Pencils, then dipped a stub in odorless turpenoid and went over the color. It gives the look of watercolors. I have been so busy with my workshops, so today I wanted to spend some time with Lexi. She and I made these little ghosts that you see her and her Papa hanging from the tree. We took small white trash bags, filled the top with wadded up tissue paper, tied with hemp cord, put a hole in the top, threaded hemp through and tied to the branches. Lexi loved it.

Who's That Girl Monday Challenge

It's such a relief to finally play with my stamps. This card if for the My Favorite Things "Who's that girl challenge". Bill's comment about these cards is "so you are into making people without heads". The next comment will probably come from Lexi. I can just hear it now "Hmm. Something's missing. Let me fix it." And, you know the rest. LOL. The stamp set used is called "Bunny Slippers". The paper is CTMH.

My Christmas Card Workshop

Here are some pictures from my card workshop that I had on Saturday. We had a lot of fun, but I was so exhausted. I cut enough pieces of paper for each person to make 50 cards. There were to be 13 people at the workshop and 13x50=650 cards!!!! So now you know why I have been MIA. The day before the party I was still cutting paper. Fortunately, my good friend Amy came over to help set up the works stations. Here is a picture of one of them. Each station had all the supplies to make that card. Each person was to make the cards at each station and move on to the next. It got a little crazy, as some people were slower than others. A few of the people were able to complete 50 cards, but most didn't come close. So, I am going to have another worshop for them to finish.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. This has been such and incredibly busy month for me. Saturday was not only Bill's birthday, but it was my 50 card workshop!!! I have spent the whole month preparing for it. This month was also Lexi and my son, Ryan's birthday too. I will be posting pictures soon. But, for now I will share with you some of the cards that I have made in my spare time.
I made this card for Bill's birthday. This is "Ski Bunny" Hanna. I made this card for him, because I bought him a season pass to his favorite ski resort. He is retired and likes to ski during the week. When I gave him this card, I didn't want him to think that I was giving him permission to find a hot chick like Hanna on the slopes. My SIL Vicki suggested that I write a little note on the inside saying "since I can't be on the slopes with you, here is a hot little chick to take along with you". He loved it.
Here are some cards that I have made for the "My Favorite Things" Challenges. This card was made for the "Celebrate MFT Day". The challenge is to use the colors from MFT, Pink, black and white. For this card, I used "Window Shopping" and the paper is CTMH.

This challenge uses "Let's go for a walk" and you were to use one of the stamps in the package as an accent. I used the polk-a-dot stamp for the background and the birthday hat on the dog's head.

This challenge used "Meet me at the Cafe" and involved paper piecing. The paper is from Basic Gray.

An Easy Challenge

Today, I took Lexi to a Halloween Party at a friends house and was able to come home and have these pictures scrapbooked within an hour. You are probably wondering how I did the layouts so quickly. Well, I will let you in on my secret. I used a level one paper pack from Close to My Heart. The level one pages have the layout printed onto the cardstock. All that you have to do, is to lay down your pictures and add the sticker embelishments and a journal and you are done. It makes for a very nice layout, without a lot of thought. The paper pack that I used is a retired pack called Abundance. I am forcing myself to use up my "previous purchases." And, to stop being a collector.

BCC48, Bella Color Challenge

This was a fun card to make. At first I was a little unsure about the colors for this challenge. They are Autumn Terracotta, Goldrush and Orchid. But, I am very happy with the way that it turned out. I used Wendy Pappillion for this challenge. She is from Stamping Bella.

I am passing this award onto three very special bloggers that inspire me and that I love to read daily.

She is one of the Challenge members for Stampingbella on Split Coast Stampers. She is also a designer for 3 Dreams and has designed for Sweet and Sassy. Sparkle is an inspiration and so much fun, and is someone that I would love to hang with. I not only love checking out her artwork, but her daily life stories. The next one is Marjorie. She is also a CTMH Consultant. Like Sparkle, her layouts are the envy of everyone. She loves to provide challenges on the CTMH consultant board. When you look at her blog, it is easy to see where she gets her inspiration. She has two beautiful little girls that she loves to scrapbook. She also makes Bella and other cards. She is a sweety who you will want to know. Her blog will inspire you to get out those scrapbooking supplies and join her. http://mommyscraps.blogspot.com/

The last one is Nicole. Her blog is very special to me, because this is where I got my inspiration to start blogging. She is a CTMH consultant and makes beautiful layouts and cards. I love reading her blog and hearing about her trials and tribulations in life. Even though, I don't know her personally, I have gotten to know her through her blog and wish that I were her friend. You will want to be, too. http://scrappernic.blogspot.com/

Happy Friday!!!

Meet the Penny Black Girls. From left to right are Vanilla, Ginger, Evening Glow and Light the Night. My Bella Sister, Leah sent me Vanilla and Ginger. Aren't they so cute? I made the card in the middle for a very special friend. The ribbon and paper are from CTMH. The flowers and center dot are from my Bella Sister. This is Trick-or-Treatabella. I made her for Bella Sketch Challenge #48. The paper is from K & Company. For the buttons, I started with clear CTMH buttons, glued them to patterned paper and cut around them.

Have a great weekend. Tomorrow I am taking Lexi to a Halloween party. We will be going to the Pumpkin Patch. She is so excited. And, to add to her excitement, I am going to let her help make a Pumpkin Pie on Sunday. She was so excited that she was practically jumping out of her body with joy when I told her. I am, also, going to roast a turkey and have mashed potatoes and gravy. Doesn't that sound yummy?
