I am so exictied to say that I am finally enrolled in the Jessica Sprague Online Photography Class. If you remember, I got my camera last summer for my birthday and have wanted to learn to use it. It has taken me months to get into this class, because it fills up fast. Our first assignment was learning about Shutter Speeds and ISO. In this first picture of Lexi jumping, I used a slow shutter speed, 1/60 and an ISO of 800. I took this picture in the early evening and needed more light, that is why I used the higher ISO. With the slower shutter speed, you can see Lexi's face but parts of her are blurred. In this second photo, I used a fast shutter speed 1/640 and ISO of 800. Notice how crisp this picture is. Her hair didn't even have a chance to lay down. With the faster shutter speed, she is frozen in action.

I'm glad you're enjoying the class. Love the goofy pics of Lexi!
I miss having an SLR camera... waahh!! All I have is an automatic point-and-shoot... but someday a DSLR WILL be mine, hehehe.
I'm a bit envious about the photography class! Maybe next year my life will be more settled and I can try something cool like that! Your photos are very different!
Oh how fun!! I recently inquired about the photograghy class but it was already full... next time! :) Can't wait to hear more about it. TFS Lori!!
I think I'd really enjoy that class...IF I had a fancy camera, that is. Lucky you to have a great camera and the patience to wait to get into what I hear is a fabulous class.
Cute pictures!! Have fun learning all the ins and outs!
Congrats on getting in the class hun! I'm jealous...lol! I too would love to learn more about my camera! :) I hope you have a wonderful time in your class and am looking forward to seeing many more photos now! :)
