Womb with a View

I had so much fun creating this layout of my granddaughter Brooke in her mother's womb. I had seen similar layouts done using a silhouette of a mothers belly, but didn't have one. I used the Cricut Cartridge "New Arrival" and set it at 11 inches for the circle with the mother cut out in the center. The paper used is "Roxie" and the alphabet is "Chocolate." Both are from Close to my heart.

Just 5 Days Old

I have a new granddaughter named Brooke Elizabeth and she was born on February 9. For her first Valentine's Day, her mother dressed her up in a cute little red outfit with a matching headband that had a big red flower on it. She looked so adorable and posed so nicely for the me in her "Boppy" pillow while I took pictures. Such a nice little poser at just 5 day old.

Finally a home for my large punches

As many of you know, my formal dining room is my scrapbook room and trying to keep it looking somewhat tidy is a challenge. One of my challenges is my punches. The smaller punches are kept in  my Michael's drawers. See the last picture. The large punches don't fit very well in them and I was storing them in a plastic container in the garage, which is a pain when I need to use them. Today, I discovered this chest in my garage and a lightbulb went off. As you can see, the punches fit perfectly in this chest and the chest makes a nice decoration in my living room which is attached to the dining room. I have other chests like this that are smaller and I bet that I could use them to decorate with and hide my supplies.

You are my friends

I just love this picture of Lexi with her best friends. She is so happy to be with them and is so proud of her recent tooth loss. I saw this layout on the Doodlebug scrapbooking blog and knew it was just the perfect layout for this picture. The paper used is called "Sweet Love" from Little Yellow Bicycle. I stuck the raised hearts on bakers twine and  attached little clothes pin to look  like they were hanging from a line.
