Christmas Eve at the "Griswalds"

Merry Christmas Everyone. Last night we went to my niece, Yvette's home. Every year, she and her husband decorate their yard with a Disney theme. He sketches out the characters, cuts and paints them. It was a challenge for them to transform their house into the Princess Castle, but they succeeded. Have a wonderful day.

More Christmas Cards

Bill informed me the other day that we needed 20 more cards. The one thing that I have realized about making cards in mass quantities, is that they need to be simple. The reason I say this, is that you will stress yourself out trying to get them made. For my workshop this year, I stuck to this, and my workshop was a success and everyone was happy. I love the fancy cards, but they are so much work unless you do like Sparkle and make a card a week. All of her cards are over-the-top gorgeous. I may have to participate in her challenges next year. But, for now I am happy with my simple cards. For my cards, I used the stamp set Holiday Trinkets by CTMH. And, the paper is Creative Basics.

Breakfast with Santa Layout

Yesterday was Breakfast with Santa at our church. Lexi had so much fun making crafts and playing with her friends. I especially love the photo of her snuggled up with Santa. This photo is very special, because the Santa is our very special friend Keith. He and his wife adore Lexi and have been a big part of my kids life. Keith has played Santa since my kids were little and that was over 20 years ago. This yummy paper from S.E.I is called "Christmas Mint".

Advent Calendar

Yesterday, I took Lexi to Jazzy Crafts. She made this adorable Advent Calendar using bottle caps, liquid glass and a baking tray. Lexi had way too much decorating her project.

Before we went to Jazzy Crafts, we stopped by The Creamery for lunch and ice cream.
When we walked in the door of The Creamery, look who we saw. Lexi was so excited and she had a great day.

First Christmas card of the year

I took advantage of this month's CTMH Special and ordered all my Christmas stamps and couldn't wait to start playing. I love this set. It is called Heartfelt Christmas. All the stamps in this set are beautiful. The deer is stamped in Hollyhock. I applied glitter to the swirl around his head and around the oval shape. At the tip of his nose is a tiny sparkle. I used my cuttlebug to emboss the Tulip Cardstock. The other color of cardstock is Juniper and the patterned paper is "Creative Basices Jingle Collection". The ribbon is also from CTMH.
