Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN Everyone. Hope you get lots of Trick-or-Treaters. Here is Lexi in her Alice in Wonderland Dress. I don't remember if I shared the story about the dress with you, but I must share. Last Spring, Jennifer and Ryan took Lexi to Disneyland. They bought the dress for her with plans of her wearing it for Halloween. Lexi wanted to wear the dress to school one day, and Jennifer let her. It turned out, that on that day, her class used pemanent markers to color with. When Lexi came home, the bodice of her dress had splotches of color all over it. The stains would not come out. Jennifer was upset and so was Lexi's Papa, Bill. He was so upset, that when he went to pay her tuition, he subtracted out the amount of the dress. The Head of the school would not accept that. And, so Bill told her "If you can get the stains out, then I will pay you the difference". Doesn't sound like such a bad idea. Does it? However, he took it one step farther and left the dress with her!!!! My sister, Chris who is a great seamstress, could have made a new bodice for the dress. So, not only is Jennifer upset with the whole situation, but so am I. So, Bill had to sheepishly return back to the school and retrieve the dress. Fortunately, for him the Head of the school wasn't there when he returned. And he got the dress back. Chris was able to fix the bodice of the dress...and I think we have stopped getting nasty letters from the school.

What a beautiful little girl! Precious photo. I'm glad her dress could be repaired. It's always good to have a seamstress in the family!!
