Day 2 in Paradise

We spent the morning at the beach and pool. Lexi loved the beach. She loved it when we would stand on the shore with me holding her hand, have the water rush up on our feet and pull back. She kept saying "again". It was so much fun sharing her excitement. I , also, had fun practicing with my new camera. I love this picture of her running down the beach, leaving her footprints behind.

This is a picture of Lexi in her cute little swim suit. She ,impatiently, let me take the picture. She just wanted to get in the pool.

Here she is with her Papa. I thought this sign was pretty funny.
In the afternoon, we took a ride to the town of Hanalie. The song "Puff the Magic Dragon", referenced this town. The town is quaint and adorable with nice little shops and restaurants. If you go there, you will want to eat at "Kalypso". This is a fun, casual, little restaurant where the seating is open to the outside. You can sit down and watch the tourists go by. They have good fish, but I here the hamburgers are delicious. The beaches on the North shore are beautiful. Some of the movies that were filmed there include, South Pacific, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Six Days Seven Nights, and
Jourasic Park. This is a picture of my daughter Jennifer , and her daughter, Lexi on one of the beaches.

It rains a lot on the North Shore. And, where there is rain, there are rainbows. We even saw a double one. The rain comes and goes, so don't let that scare you off. It is beautiful here.

Along the way, there was a man selling Coconuts. Lexi had been wanting one so bad. So, we stopped and bought one. He cut the top off and put in a straw for us to drink the coconut milk. After we were finished, he chopped it open for us. Here I am giving it a try. It was yummy.
