Day 5 in Pardise

This evening, we went to the "Smith's Tropical Paradise" Luau. Here are the pictures of the Kaluah Pig being unearthed from the underground oven called an "Imu". First, they start off by blowing the "Conch.

Not a very pretty picture, but the meat is very tasty.

The grounds are gogeous. They took us on a tram ride and then we were able to wander around.

At 6:00 we went into the buffet room to eat. The food was very good and they had delicious Mai Tai's. While eating, there were people on the stage singing Hawaiian songs. After dinner a Hula girl brought people up on the stage and showed them how to do the hula.Next, we went to an outdoor theater to watch the show. It was awesome. The stage was surrounded by a pond and there were theatrical effects like fire coming from a volcano. I loved the seating. Normally, you eat and watch the show at the same table. Here, you ate in one area and then moved to another area for the show. This was an awesome way of doing it, because everybody had a good seat. I had a hard time getting my pictures to come out for the show. Here are a couple that came out. It was very entertaining.
